NSS Activity Nirmalya collection and composting activity
NSS Unit of JSPM’s Rajarshi Shahu College of Pharmacy and Research, Tathawade organized ‘Nirmalya collection and composting activity’ on 21st Sept. 2023 at 4.00 pm
The flowers, leaves and garlands offered to the idol of Ganpati are generally left into the water ponds, then water become polluted and if it is dropped in the garbage, it become litter and gets desecrated. To reduce the water pollution and to keep the balance of environment, NSS Unit has taken active participation in nirmalya collection and composting activity. This activity was consisting of collecting nirmalya and converting the same into fertilizer which can be used for trees.
20 Students has collected Nirmalya from JSPM campus and neaby areas and collected the same in bins provided by PCMC. Later on Nirmalya from all bins were collected and used for composting. NSS Unit Member Prof. Minal Solanki coordinated the activity. It was a successful event organized by the NSS team of RSCOPR
