Safety Awareness Program for Womens

Our College has organized “A Safety Awareness Program” for girl students and women faculty members of JSPM’S RSCOP&R on 28th July 2018 at Seminar Hall, between 8.30-9.30 am. Principal Dr. K. R. Khandelwal Sir welcomed the speakers Ms. Pooja Sinha and Ms. Chhaya Parekh, members of “Heartfulness Meditation Programs”. The chairman Prof. Suvarna S. Vanjari made girl students and women faculty members aware about Internal Complaint Committtee (Vishkha Cell- Womens Right Group) of our college with its motto and action. The speakers Ms. Pooja Sinha focused on various welfare schemes and programmes for indian women such as “Rajiv Gandhi Scheme for Empowerment of Adolescent Girls, Indira Gandhi Matritva Sahyog Yojana etc”. The speaker Ms. Chhaya Parekh guided girl students and women faculty members on how to tackle work place harassment like “Do not ignore – Silence is not the best defense mechanism in such case as ignoring it with the hope that it will go away will actually escalate the issue”. Stay fit enough to run fast, Pretend to be submissive at first and fight back when the attacker is off-guard. At the end the speaker taught to learn to connect with your inner self by listening to the heart’s voice. Observe your deepest feelings; make wise choice sand weave your destiny.
