A Patent has been granted to the inventors Dr. Ashlesha Pravin Pandit, Professor, JSPM’s Rajarshi Shahu College of Pharmacy & Research, Tathawade, Pune and Mr. Vimalkumar Johnson Muniswamy, Student of RSCOPR (passed B. Pharm -2015) for an invention entitled “DISSOLUTION TESTING APPARATUS OF MEDICATED CHEWING GUM FOR DUAL PURPOSE” for the term of 20 years in accordance with the provisions of the Patents Act, 1970 by the controller of patents, Indian patent office, Government of India, with Patent No.: 498946. The patented apparatus is based on use to study release of drug through formulation of medicated chewing gum to get accurate results. This is a novel and unique apparatus which is having Pharma industrial application. This is the notable achievement of the inventors and contributes towards the development of the intellectual property. The Hon’ble Founder Secretary PDr. T. J. Sawant, Principal Dr. K. R. Khandelwal and management committee members of JSPM congratulated the inventors of the patent.
